Baby Room Paint Colors To Consider!
Baby Room Paint Colors To Consider!
Cool Colors
These will include blues, turquoise, green, grays and silver.
Cool colors suggest calmness and will soothe you. They are easy on the eye and can relax you. However they are also suggestive of coldness.
By nature the sea is blue and plant life is green, having a combination of these natural colors will bring an element of watery nature to your room.
Blue Colors
Pro's: Great for bedrooms, bathrooms and especially studies in creating a serene sanctuary for rest and contemplative thoughts. Blue tones are baby room paint colors that work well with baby boys rooms.
Con's: Some shades of blue can appear to be cold. But that "coldness feeling" can be avoided by using blues with warm iridescence.
Green Colors
Pro's: Would be an ideal color for bedrooms and living rooms which are main rooms of relaxation. Shades of light lime greens work great as baby room paint colors for baby boys and girls.
Con's: You must consider the fact that green painted rooms may give you a feeling of complacency. But if you still want green as your primary color you should splash in some reds, oranges and other similar bright colors to cancel out any "I'll Get To It Later" feelings.
Warm Colors
Red, orange, browns and yellows fall into this category.
These colors usually can create energy and excitement in our minds, stirring our senses. Colors from this palette can symbolize happiness or on the other spectrum anger.
Reference to nature usually brings autumn to mind with the beautiful leaves changes.
These colors are bright vivid colours that are warm and inviting. To tone them down, pink, peach and pale yellow tones can be substituted.
Red Colors
Pro's: A good color for rooms that are utilized for socializing and eating in, like kitchens and dining rooms.
Con's: At times rooms painted red can be over-stimulating and too strong a color choice. Adding different shades of red will help your room though or simply use red shades for accent walls. Because of its strong color, reds are not suggested for baby rooms and are associated with headaches.
Pink Colors
Pro's: Good for girl's rooms as it emits a soft, calm and peaceful aura. Pinks are especially good as baby room paint colors for baby girls.
Con's: Pink painted rooms can tend be too girlish for many. But with the right trim and accent colors pink painted rooms can range from sweet to passionate.
Orange Colors
Pro's: Orange rooms can be very happy and optimistic rooms. That's why Orange painted rooms are good for rooms where you have get-togethers with family and friends.
Con's: Due to it's strong colour, orange tones can minimize the size of a room, therefore use the color orange in rooms that have an abundance of light which will take away that cramped feeling and open things up.
Yellow Colors
Pro's: Because of the warm colour tones of yellow it'll get you thinking. A great color to paint a room used for studying or being creative like in kitchens. Also yellow painted rooms are good in rooms that face the north.
Con's: Not recommended for bedrooms as it's know to cause restless nights. Although for a baby nursery room color soft yellows can be nice with fun contrasting colors, toys and wall decorations.
Neutral Colours
White, creams, ivory, beige and brown. Neutral colours are very flexible.
Normally they serve as a stage for the bolder colors in unifying and grounding them. They also serve the dual purpose of toning down overwhelming colors.
However, although they are usually the secondary colour, they can also be the central focus of your designs (hence the lighter shaded accent wall that I mention on the main page for Baby Room Colors). Neutral color tones can also do the magic of enhancing the size of your room.
Brown Colors
Pro's: A safe color, brown is good paint color for living rooms and family rooms. From soft shades of milk chocolate to dark bark brown tones, brown can be used in bedrooms when you use creative bright colors that softly contrast your favorite shade of brown.
Con's: Since brown is a safe and balanced color there isn't much feeling attached to brown. So if you're going with a brown tone in a room in your home make sure to add fun bright colors to mix things up a little. For example adding decorations or pillows that have blues, greens and yellows in them.
