Nursery Window Treatments
Fresh, Adorable, Cute, Useful and More!
Nursery Window Treatments really add to the overall look and feel of baby’s room. They give the room a bright and fresh looking appeal that adults and babies alike would love to have in baby’s room.
And finding Baby Room Window Treatments that match your theme or overall color scheme can sometimes be a piece of cake. Many times the bedding set you picked out for your crib has a matching valance, drapes and more. The thing is, at some stores they only sell the 6 piece crib set and don’t tell you about the other matching accessories.
That’s why if you’re thinking of matching up the window treatments to your crib set, go home and have a look online to see if there are matching drapes or blinds to go with it. Always do this before trying to match it up on your own.
Nursery Window Treatments
What You Have To Consider.
One of the big things you should consider is which direction your baby room is facing. Because that may determine which types of Baby Room Window Treatments you’ll need.
You don’t want to only add a Valance and Window Sheer to a baby room that is facing directly east. When the sun starts to come up at 6am in the summer and baby is sound asleep, the last thing you need is a bright sun shining on them and waking up everyone in the house. In this case it may be best to go with Valance and Shade or Drapes.
And if you’re thinking “No” on the shades then have a look around, baby room shades are really beautiful and since the roll up, they’re not even seen during the day, only at night when you pull them down.
Valances are really beautiful also and come in an assortment of colors, styles and shapes, from ruffled to straight and every color under the rainbow.
Blackout Panels
Blackout Panels can come in really handy. I touched on this above a bit but black out panels are really handy when it comes to nursery window treatments. Some drapes actually come with a layer of blackout panel sewn into them but others don’t.
And other advantages of a blackout panel is that most are made to absorb outside noise, which is great if you live on a noisy street. Also they insulate against heat and cold to keep baby’s room just right and very importantly, they’ll prevent your drapery, rugs, furniture, toys etc. from fading.
Window and Valance Hardware
And don’t forget the finials, the ends that go on your curtain rods. This may be a bit much but if you really want to go all out having curtain rod ends in the shapes of balloons, cars, trucks etc. may be a finishing touch you’d like to add.
